Subject: PIPE-FLO Crashes with More Digits than Provided in the Autoname Base
Program affected: PIPE-FLO Professional 2009 & Flow of Fluids 2009
Approved by: CAB
Background
We have identified a bug that causes the program to crash when the program attempts to name a pipe or node with more digits than provided in the Autoname base.
Condition
Digits specified in the autoname base (autoname base is "Pipe{###}" and the new pipe will be "Pipe1000") the program crashes. This also occurs when splitting pipes when the new pipe or node created will exceed the digits specified in the base.
Workaround
To avoid the crash, the Autoname base needs to be changed to provide for more digits in the pipe or node name. Open Settings under the System menu, go to the Summary tab and specify an additional "#" in the Autoname base ("Pipe{##}" becomes "Pipe{###}"). Note: the Autoname base will need to be changed for both pipes and nodes.
