Word Description
Cavitation A phenomenon that occurs when vapor bubbles form and move along the vane of an impeller. As these vapor bubbles move along the impeller vane, the pressure around the bubbles begins to increase. When a point is reached where the pressure on the outside of the bubble is greater than the pressure inside the bubble, the bubble collapses. The collapsing bubbles make a distinctive noise, and can cause mechanical damage due to excessive vibration in the pump. Flow of Fluids The Flow of Fluids Premium software simulates the operation of small piping systems transporting liquids and industrial gases under a variety of expected operating conditions. For more information click the link below: Flow of Fluids
Lineup PIPE-FLO and FLOW OF FLUIDS's lineup feature provides the flexibility needed to evaluate your piping system under a variety of operating conditions. By default, every PIPE-FLO and FLOW OF FLUIDS system has one lineup - the Design Case lineup. From the System Lineups dialog box, you can create additional lineups as well as view a list of the item settings in each lineup. Lineup items include tanks, demands, controls, and fluid zones. The setting for each lineup item can vary by lineup. Pump operation can also be set on a per lineup basis. For more information click the link below: Using Lineups in PIPE-FLO to Model System Modifications
Overtime Overtime is an add-on to PIPE-FLO Professional that can quickly simulate how your piping system will operate over a specified period of time. For more information click the link below: Overtime
PIPE-FLO Compressible The PIPE-FLO Compressible software performs a rigorous calculation of compressed gas systems balancing the flow rates and pressures throughout the system. In addition, it calculates the physical properties of the gas as it flows through the piping system, and checks for choked flow or sonic conditions in each pipeline of the system. For more information click the link below: PIPE-FLO Compressible
PIPE-FLO Professional The PIPE-FLO Professional software simulates the operation of the complete piping system showing the interaction of pumps, compressors, pipelines, control valves, and components. For more information click the link below: PIPE-FLO Professional
PIPE-FLO Stock The PIPE-FLO Stock software simulates the operation of piping systems transporting slurries of paper stock used in the production of paper and newsprint. For more information click the link below: PIPE-FLO Stock
PUMP-FLO Selects and evaluates centrifugal and AODD pumps from over 100 manufacturers. PUMP-FLO also has multi-language capabilities, and a free web portal at www.pump-flo.com. PUMP-FLO is integrated with the PIPE-FLO and Flow of Fluids design programs. For more information click the link below: Pump Sizing and Selection Software
X-Link A set of VBA functions and a Microsoft Excel toolbar that allow users of PIPE-FLO Professional to create spreadsheets that automatically read design information and calculated results from the piping system model and/or update information in the piping system model.
