When upgrading from PIPE-FLO v7.0 to PIPE-FLO v7.1 software, it is also necessary to update the Sentinel LM License Server. This article addresses some issues that may arise.

It is important that the previous version of Sentinel LM (v7.1.1) is stopped before installing the new License Server. The new License Server will go into a different directory, and should start automatically.

The preferred method for adding network licenses is thru WLMADMIN rather than using the Addlicense.bat program which was used in the previous version.

If the WLMADMIN cannot see the new License Server, it may be necessary to uninstall the original version (from Add/Remove programs) and reinstall the new License Server.

The new version of Sentinel LM License Server requires that UDP Ports 5093, 5094, and 5099 are open in order to allow the software to communicate. Even if your workstations can browse the server, any or all of these ports may be closed. The status of these ports can only be verified by accessing your routers.

The attached document is a copy of the update letter which provides step-by-step instructions on the update process.
