Many Engineered Software applications are licensed using a Verification Key that attaches to a hardware port of the computer. All current Windows operating systems require a driver to access hardware ports. A compatible driver is normally installed with your software.
If the Windows operating system on your computer has been updated, you will need to install a driver that is compatible with the new operating system. It is recommended that you download the attached "SentinelDriver" file and install the latest available driver.
Note that administrative privileges are required to properly install a driver. If you are not certain that you have these privileges, contact your system administrator.
It is recommended using the normal driver un-installation (Windows Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs) for SafeNet drivers. SSDCleanUp might remove your Sentinel protected software application. Therefore, SSDCleanUp should be used as the last option for driver uninstall.
If the normal driver un-installation fails to remove the previous driver there are two SSD files available to download:
- "SSDCleanup-64_1.2.0.6.zip" is for 64 bit versions of Windows operating systems.
- "SSDCleanup_1.2.0.5.zip" is for 32 bit Windows XP/2000/2003 operating systems.
If you have installed the latest driver and still experience problems obtaining a license, download Sentinel's "SuperproMedic.exe" diagnostic tool attached to this article. Unzip the Sentinel Medic file and follow the operating instructions to search for a "SuperPro" Key. Report those diagnostics to our Technical Support department.
"Sentinel_System_Driver_Installer_7.6.5.exe" is the latest Sentinel Driver available from Engineered Software (Includes Windows 7 support). To download 7.6.5 Click Here
Sentinel_System_Driver_Installer_7.5.0.exe is the version that shipped with PIPE-FLO 2009 (Use the 7.6.5 if you have Windows 7)
Note: SafeNet (Rainbow Technologies) may update these drivers on their website (http://www.safenet-inc.com/support/tech/sentinel.asp) at any time. As such, the the attached file may not be the absolute most up-to-date driver. However, the attached driver should be sufficient for running all Engineered Software products on all supported operating systems. Additionally, we update this attachment periodically so that it is never far from the current release.
