The PIPE-FLO Viewer, PUMP-FLO, and Customized Pump Selection Software products are licensed on each computer using a program registration system. Registration is accomplished by faxing a registration form to Engineered Software. (In some programs, the registration can be done via the Internet.) This article addresses the problem that the computer cannot connect to the Internet or access a printer.

An alternate method to obtain a printed copy of the registration form is to print the page to a file. This method includes the addition of a printer driver, which requires administrator privileges on your computer.

First, install a printer driver:

  1. Choose Start\Settings\Printers
  2. Click on "Add a Printer"
  3. Follow the directions to add a local printer
  4. On the list of printers choose the "Generic" and "Text Only" options, then click Next until the printer is installed

Next, set the new printer as the default printer:

  1. Choose Start\Settings\Printers
  2. Select the printer that was just installed
  3. Right-click on the printer icon and choose "Set as Default Printer"

Finally, "print" the registration form to a file:

  1. Start the program (PIPE-FLO Viewer, PUMP-FLO, etc.)
  2. Press the "Print Registration Form" button
  3. Fill out the registration information
  4. Press the "Print Registration Form" button

After you press print, you will be prompted to enter file name. Enter a complete path and use a name that will be easy to find (so you can find the file afterward).  (A filename extension of ".txt" is recommended.)

The program will then write an image of the registration page into the file that you specified. You can open the file with a text editor (like Notepad) and print the form.
