There is a New Water table for download that replaces all previous Water table versions.
The most current version 2 Water table replaces any version 1 Water table as well as the Water_IAPWS table. To check the version number in PIPE-FLO or Flow of Fluids go to the "Fluid Zones" dialog box and select Water from the installed fluid table list. The version number will be displayed near the bottom of the dialog box. In PUMP-FLO go to the "Fluid & NPSH" tab in the "System Data" dialog box and select Water. The version number will be displayed directly below the installed fluid table list.
The new water table was created in order to more closely align the liquid density with data from the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS). Only the liquid density equation has been updated, all other physical properties are accurate and have not been changed from previous versions of the water table. The program uses a 4th order polynomial based on temperature to calculate liquid densities. The version 2 Water table equation was created by generating a 4th order polynomial regression of IAPWS water density data.
To use the table, run the Water Table Version 2.exe file (attached below). Once the table is installed it should show up in the program and you can check the version number to ensure you have the correct table.
PIPE-FLO or Flow of Fluids projects that use the previous versions of the Water table will have to be updated so that the file is using the latest version. This can be done by opening the file and selecting the "Fluids" tab in the "System Settings and Properties" dialog box. Next, click on "Add or Edit Fluid Zones" and select the fluid zone you wish to update. With the fluid zone highlighted click on Water in the installed fluid table list. Then click "OK" to save the updated fluid zone. The selected fluid zone will now be using properties from the version 2 Water table. You will need to repeat this process for all fluid zones in your model which use the version 1 Water table or Water_IAPWS table.
