With the release of version 8.0, two header lines and a multi-line footer on all reports were made available for users to enter project specific information.  The software installation requests the company name, which is inserted into the first line of all headers.  Some users have requested that their name be automatically inserted into the second line of all report headers, which was abandoned from earlier versions in favor of giving users more flexibility.

Also, header information is not permanently stored with version 8.0 and beyond. With the release of version 8.0, the ability to have header information permanently stored was removed.  To permanently store the header information, you must edit the default.cfg file.

Automatic header entries are maintained in a file which by default is stored in "C:\Program Files\Engineered Software\default.cfg".  To edit this file, you must have administrative rights on your computer.  Below are instructions on how to correctly edit the default.cfg.

1.) Open "My Computer"
2.) Open the drive where Pipe-Flo is installed.
3.) Open "Program Files"
4.) Open "Engineered Software"
5.) Open "Pipe-Flo"
6.) Open in a text editor (such as Notepad.exe) the file named "default.cfg"
7.) Under [ID] add the following lines.

Company=Your Company Name Here
Name=Your Name Here

"Substitute the values with the appropriate information."

8.) Save the file

Once completed, any new project will have the header information automatically entered within the Print options.
