Problem: Code -2. Multiple versions of the required feature license are installed on the server

Cause: Licenses from previous versions still exist on the license file.

Solution: Use LICENSECLEANER.EXE to remove previous licenses which is located in the SERVER TOOLS directory of your media install files.

Step-By-Step:
1) Run LICENSECLEANER.EXE, located in your media install files disc, and browse to "\Server\Server Tools," a dialog should prompt you to select your license file.

2) Browse to your license file and select it, it should be named LSERVRC. If you are unsure where your license file is located, see Article Number 320.


Alternately, you can edit the license file by using a text editor like Notepad instead of using LICENSECLEANER.EXE to remove the previous license. Just open your license file with a text editor and remove the entire line that references the older version.
