Microsoft Excel version 2003
If you don't know which version of Excel you have, go to your "Help" menu item and select "About Microsoft Excel". Microsoft Excel 2003 is not compatible with Windows 7.
PIPE-FLO needs to be installed to your computer prior to following the procedures in this article.
Elevated user privileges may be required to complete all the steps.
1. Open the Excel program.
2. Check for the PIPE-FLO Toolbar, which should look like this: ![]()
3. If the PIPE-FLO Toolbar is not visible, right-click in the toolbar area.
4. Put a check
next to the "Pipe-Flo Toolbar" item. The toolbar should now appear.
5. In Excel, select menu items Tools > Macro > Security... to open the "Security" dialog.

6. Set the "Security Level" to "Medium".

7. Select the "Trusted Sources" tab and check the box next to "Trust access to Visual Basic Project".

8. Click "OK" to save the settings. X-Link is now enabled.
