Microsoft Excel version 2010
PIPE-FLO needs to be installed to your computer prior to following the procedures in this article.
Elevated user privileges may be required to complete all the steps.
1. Open the Excel program.
2. Click the Add-Ins tab at the top of the window.![]()
3. Check for the PIPE-FLO Toolbar which should look like this:

If the Add-Ins tab is missing from your Excel Follow the steps in the Add-Ins tab not present in Excel later in this article.
4. Click the File tab at the top left of the window, then click the Options button at the bottom of the window.
This will bring up the Excel Options window. Click the Trust Center tab which will bring up the Trust Center Options.

5. In the Excel Options dialog box, choose Trust Center menu option on the left side, then click the Trust Center Settings button on the right side.
6. Click on Macro Settings menu option on the left side. Check the option to Disable all macros with notification. Check the box next to Trust accress to the VBA project object model.
7. Click OK to save the settings.
8. Click OK to close the Excel Options dialog box. X-Link is now enabled.
Add-Ins tab not present in Excel
Follow these steps if your Add-Ins tab isn't present in Excel.
1. Open Excel
2. Click the File tab to bring up the Excel Options window.
3. Click the Add-Ins tab to bring up the View and Manage Office Add-ins

Look for the -FLO X Add-In. You should see it under the Inactive Application Add-Ins
4. Click the Drop arrow next to the Manage: change it to COM Add-Ins and click Go.

5. In the COM Add-Ins check the -FLO X box then click OK. 
You should now see -FLO X under the Active Application Add-Ins

Notes:
You may have to perform this procedure more than once as in 2010 Excel the way 3rd party add-ins are handled changed. As a result the settings change may revert when Excel is closed.
X-link is not compatible with the 64 bit version of 2010 Excel.
